Stichting Lezen

Cool kids love reading

Project Description

For Stichting Lezen, I worked on multiple video series across different labels, including Springlezend and Inspiratiescholen.

Each series focuses on promoting reading within education, targeting different audiences — from teachers to students. The content varies per format, but the shared goal is to make reading more engaging, accessible, and relevant in the classroom.

Within Videobird, these productions are developed end-to-end, from concept and scripting to final delivery. My role focused on translating the creative direction into a strong and cohesive visual language.

About Stichting Lezen

Stichting Lezen is dedicated to promoting reading and literacy in the Netherlands, with a strong focus on children and education.

Through various programs and initiatives, they aim to stimulate reading motivation and help embed reading into everyday learning environments.

Style & Approach

For these series, I was responsible for developing and executing the visual identity across multiple formats. This included designing the overall look and feel, as well as creating key elements such as intros, leaders, lower thirds, and supporting motion design.

Each series — and often each video — required a tailored approach. The visual styles vary to match the tone, audience, and content, while still maintaining clarity and consistency.

What makes these projects especially meaningful is their social impact. Contributing to content that encourages reading among children adds an extra layer of purpose to the work. It’s rewarding to be part of something that helps spark curiosity and supports the development of young readers.
